PTA Committees & Supporting Roles

2023-24 Team

• Volunteer Coordinator: OPEN

  • The Volunteer Coordinator is the chief coordinator for all volunteer needs supporting Lawson PTA events.

• Reflections Chair: OPEN

  • This a program is run by the National PTA to promote Arts in Education. Lead volunteers manage the entire process from registration through coordinating judging and submitting select ones to the next level of competition.  

• Graduation Chair:  Carol Lou

  • Organize the end of the year Promotion Party for 8th Grade students.

• Hospitality Chair: OPEN

  • Plans and coordinates staff appreciation efforts throughout the school year.

• HSA Chair: OPEN

  • Functions to determine individuals and organizations for outstanding community services to children and youth in a community and arrange award ceremony.  Creates and coordinates nominations for awardees.

• Grants Chair:  OPEN 

  • The committee chair works with the committee to review the proposals submitted by teachers and staff for approval. Presents the committees approved proposals to the PTA Board to ensure opportunities are provided to a maximum level.
